Tweetz is a windows 7 sidebar gadget that equips you with similar functions as Twitter such as retweet, reply, and search. It has a cool function (URL shortner) where you can shorten your links, i.e. compose your tweet – then click the ‘shorten’ button and Tweetz will scan your message for links and automatically send the shortened version.

The Tweetz gadgets docks nicely in the sidebar, but if you find it too intrusive you can also have a compact version of the gadget on the sidebar instead. Both versions are fully customizable, so you won’t feel cheated by the compact one. Use the easy ‘arrow’ and ‘bell’ icons to reply and retweet, and glide your mouse over a link and Tweetz will show you a ‘reverse lookup’ of shortened links. If you want to know more about your new gadget, click on the ‘author’s’ icon to go to their twitter page . . Sweet. Sorry I mean ‘tweetz!’.
